She was the only child born to her parents who where both in their 40s when they had Nanny Maria. Nanny Maria was a loving woman she had a great smile, laugh and a saucy way with her! Some of her Great quotes where "Hello Darling" "Are you alright love?" "How are you! How are you?" Nanny Maria was a Loyal Roman Catholic and often prayed with her rosery beeds and attended church. She Loved her animals and jewlery. Nanny Maria's husband Frans often sang the song "Side by Side." to her recalls her children. Nanny Maria would then join him in song later on, in a loving act they did together xx Enjoyed trips to England, made her last one in 1994 when she came over for her 80th birthday. Loved her family dearly and managed to keep track of everything that went on in their lives both in Malta and Engaland. Sadly Lived over 60 years longer than her husband and outlived 3 of 5 children and lost 2 grandchildren and two children in-laws. Nanny Maria also had a very strong bond with my Grandad John. Whom she loved dearly.
